Our client

The Company is incorporated in Luxembourg and listed on the London Stock exchange.  With ten-digit total revenues, it is a major player in food production and processing.

The Company has enjoyed continuous growth in revenue and profits for two decades. Its success is based on vertical integration of the production from the field to the shop, excellent control of the production costs due to very modern facilities and tight supervision of all financial aspects of the business.

 

The background

The former Chairman having resigned for personal reasons, our firm has been entrusted with the search for his replacement.

 

The role

The Chairman plays an essential role in the dynamics of the Group, continually fostering international growth and the highest standards of corporate governance. He or she will support and, when necessary, challenge the executive team as well as his/her fellow board members with firmness, sensitivity and diplomacy. The Chairman’s knowledge, business experience and international contacts will complement that of his/her fellow board members.He/she will be able to convince the board when believing that his/her vision is to the benefit the company, but will equally be able to compromise when a softer stance is needed.

The successful candidate’s excellent understanding of today’s business environment and challenges will allow him or her to steer the Group to ensure its continued success.

 

The ideal candidate

Educated to university or higher level, the ideal candidate will have an excellent track record in the  management of international businesses.  He or she will be an experienced non-executive director, with current or past board mandates at internationally active groups. Proactive and dynamic he/she will always go the extra mile if needed to generate added value for the company. He or she must be very well connected and have strong interpersonal skills enabling him or her to communicate and negotiate with fellow board members, executive managers, investors, authorities and other counterparties. Fluency in spoken, read and written English is a firm requirement as are affinities with the Anglo-Saxon business world.

Experience in farming or food processing will be a substantial advantage.

Regional Sales Manager for Eastern Poland (F/M)
Mineral and micro-biological fertilizers

 

Our client

Leader in his field, our client has been producing and selling mineral fertilizers originated from the food processing industry for more than 25 years and has added microbiology to its formulas 8 years ago.
The facilities are located in France and the products are exported all around Europe. The company is committed to further develop the Polish market.
The group comprises of 90 employees and has a yearly revenue of 40M€

The environment

Due to the variety of its farming activities, its technological advance and its favorable climate, the Polish market has become more and more important for our client in Central Europe. 
The job

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for sales of the fertilizers manufactured by the Employer. She/he will maintain and develop a network of retailers for the Distributor of the Company in his region. She/he will give technical assistance to the clients, visiting farms in order to demonstrate the results achieved by the fertilizers.
Her/his direct line of report will the Export Manager at the international Head office. She/he will make field and indoor presentations to a wide public made of technicians and farmers. She/he will be home-based.
She/he will follow-up sample tests and results and will visit the test fields regularly. She/he will motivate and train the sales team of the Distributor but he will also sell the fertilizers on behalf of the Distributor.

The candidate

The candidate is a talented saleswoman/salesman and an excellent negotiator. Her/his interest for sustainable agriculture and her/his natural curiosity predestine her/him for the job. She/he also has a good understanding of the farming world, its way of operating and its ethical values.  Empathic, rigorous and honest, she/he is able to work autonomously and willing to travel extensively inside the Region.  She/he is prepared and ready to receive technical training in various locations at the beginning of her/his employment, and subsequently when new products will be introduced. 
She/he holds a university degree and has at least 3 years of successful track records in farming sales, ideally in fertilizers. An experience of 5 years in agriculture-related sales will be required if the candidate holds no degree.
She/he holds a working permit for Poland and is a native Polish speaker. Moreover, she/he is fluent in English or French.

The compensation package

The compensation will include a fixed salary in relation with the education and the experience of the candidate plus a commission on sales. Car, cellphone and laptop round up the package.

Head of Luxembourg Office (F/M)
Alternative Investment and Credit Management

 

Our client

Our client is the London subsidiary and office of a leading global alternative credit manager with approximately USD 24 Billion of capital under management.
The parent company is headquartered in the U.S. and has offices in America, Europe and Australasia. It manages a number of private and public credit strategies and invests across the capital structure.

The environment

Due to the anticipated development of the Luxembourg activities, our client needs an experienced manager to head and run all the firms of the local operations.

The job

The Head of Luxembourg Office will manage employees, form new entities, support the US and UK investment teams, prepare, execute and maintain agreements and files related to the Luxembourg operations and the investments. She/he will also summarize and track regulatory developments and monitor all legal issues.

She/he will act as the key local person for U.S. senior management.
She/he will manage general operations in Luxembourg, i.e. space cash flow, lease contract, insurance, employment, IT and payroll.

She/he will work with local counsel and form new entities including financing documents, tax rulings and registrations.

She/he will prepare agendas and minutes and organize board meetings, performing Corporate secretary work. She/he will supervise the local team, manage service providers and liaise with third party administrators and tax accountants with respect to preparation of financial statements and tax returns.

The candidate

The candidate holds a BA, law degree or MBA. She/he has at least five years of experience working either in financial services or legal fields.
She/he has very strong writing and communication skills allowing her/him to communicate directly with outside counsel, counterparties and investors. Her/his full proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Powerpoint and Excel, supports her/his ability to make outstanding presentations to any size and level of audience.
The candidate feels comfortable working on multiple projects with varying degree, duration and managers simultaneously. Very hands-on and autonomous, she/he is able to work with minimal supervision.  
The candidate is fluent in English.

The compensation package

The compensation will include a fixed salary plus a variable part, both in relation with the education and the experience of the candidate. A company car, a smartphone and laptop computer are the tools at her/his disposal.

Un important bureau d’ingénieurs-conseils luxembourgeois engagé dans le domaine du développement durable. Il apporte ses services à différentes entreprises dans le domaine de l’assistance à maître d’ouvrage pour des projets de travaux privés et publics.


Le contexte

Afin d’accompagner la forte croissance de ses activités, notre client désire créer un nouveau poste de chef de projet spécialisé dans la construction durable, notamment en bois.


Le poste

Le Chef de projets sera responsable de la gestion complète de la phase d’études et de la phase chantier des projets.

Il rapportera au chef de département et l’assistera dans la phase démarrage des projets.

Il sera responsable de la rentabilité des projets qui lui sont confiés et dirigera les responsables de projets et les assistants qui y sont affectés.   

Aussi rigoureux qu’empathique, il assurera la tenue de toute la documentation des projets, gèrera les conflits et mènera les équipes avec conviction et doigté. Doté d’un sens aigu de la communication en public, il se chargera de la présentation des projets, conduira les réunions et résoudra les conflits.


Les candidats

devront disposer des qualités et compétences suivantes :

Une formation d’ingénieur ou d’architecte avec une dizaine d’années d’expérience dont  cinq ans de management d’équipes et trois ans en tant que responsable ou chef de projets.
Une bonne connaissance du marché luxembourgeois, ainsi que des lois et des normes d’application sur le territoire.
Une bonne expérience du marché des municipalités luxembourgeoises.
Communiquer par écrit en allemand et en français ainsi qu’avoir une compréhension orale du luxembourgeois.

YOUR PROFILE

 

You will ideally, but not necessarily, possess a university degree or similar qualification. You will have either a proven track record in private banking in a similar role or a network of contacts with significant potential. You will thrive on challenges and be a skilled negotiator with a strong commercial and client-centric focus. You will be a native Swedish-speaker and fluent also in spoken, and written English.
